Hope for the Holidays

Nov 19, 2017
09:00 am - 04:00 pm

October 25, 2017.  EAGLE POINT, OR.  A distinctive holiday bazaar with nearly 50 local vendors will be held at Eagle Point High School at 203 N. Platt Avenue, on Saturday, November 18 and Sunday, November 19th from 9AM to 4PM. Hosted by Patriotic Livestock of Eagle Point, proceeds from the event will go to support Patriotic Livestock 4-H Club and provide Christmas for a local Rogue Valley family.

Named “Hope for the Holidays,” the event will include a 50/50 raffle, a silent auction, and professional photos with Santa for young and old alike. The event is free and open to the public with doors opening at 9AM to the cafeteria at Eagle Point High School. Food will be available for purchase, provided by Tasty Treasures.

Tables are still available for $40.00.  To sign up, vendor requests and applications are available online or by contacting event coordinator Tamara McMahan.

Nominations of local families in need are being requested from the community with a deadline of Sunday, November 19th for consideration. Nominations will be accepted via email at patrioticlivestock@gmail.com.  Please email a brief description of the family and their needs for the nomination.  The Patriotic Livestock 4-H Club will choose the local family from the nomination pool and provide Christmas gifts.

At the Bazaar, a myriad of small business owners, local crafters, and direct sales companies will be on hand selling their products, handmade items, and services.  “The event was a huge success last year with a wide variety of vendors and businesses participating… and it is a great place to kick-off your Christmas shopping and support a local family in need,” says McMahan.  Some of the vendors at the event will include:  Jamberry, Scentsy, Tupperware, Thirty-One, Lula Roe, Avon, Rogue K9 Twine, Terry’s Birdhouses, Andresen Acres Alpaca Yarn and Gift Shop, and various local crafters and businesses.

As the event is also a fundraiser all participating vendors are donating items to the silent auction and raffle that will be held during the bazaar.  The raffle tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00 and the winners will be drawn during the event, but need not be present to win.  Professional photography will be provided by Woven Dream Photography (10AM-1PM), and photo packages start at $15 or attendees can bring their own camera and take photos for free with Santa.

Anyone interested in supporting Patriotic Livestock 4-H Club and a local family during the holidays should attend the holiday bazaar, or contact Tamara McMahan at 541-890-2321 or email patrioticlivestock@gmail.com for more details.
